President Donald Trump is set for a busy round of diplomacy at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, with wars in Iran and Ukraine expected to dominate the agenda. Reuters reported that Trump is scheduled to meet leaders from several regions as international tensions remain high.
His schedule includes talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Gulf leaders and officials from Denmark and Greenland. Reuters said Trump is also expected to meet Venezuela’s interim leader Delcy Rodriguez and take part in discussions focused on security concerns in the Middle East.
The gathering comes as the United States and Israel remain engaged in conflict with Iran, while the war between Russia and Ukraine continues without a lasting settlement. Rising energy prices and instability in Yemen are also adding pressure to the international discussions.
Trump is expected to address UN delegates during the General Assembly and use the meetings to discuss security, military cooperation, and ongoing diplomatic efforts involving several major conflicts.
